Fill in whichever components you have a source for. Blank fields are left unchanged. Updates are max-overwrite: submissions whose values are all ≤ the current record will be rejected automatically. Sources are required for any value you provide; BibTeX is preferred so the reference renders cleanly when cited.

If a past submission was approved in error (wrong source, misread counts, etc.), you can request that it be invalidated. If an admin approves, the database recomputes affected values as the maximum across all non-invalidated revisions. The submission itself is never deleted. The invalidation is recorded as its own append-only entry, so the history stays intact. You or anyone else can then submit a corrected update.
